Prague Workshop on Gender and Family in the Labor Market – May 20-21, 2019
This workshop aims to bring together researchers working on topics related to gender and family in the labor market. Our goal is to create a regional platform for research on this topic. Submission is open to all researchers, but we especially welcome submissions of researchers from the CEE region. All aspects of gender and family-related issues in the labor market are of interest.
The workshop will be followed by a mentoring event addressed to young researchers, helping them to define career goals and the steps needed to achieve them.
The keynote speakers of the workshop are:

The workshop is organized jointly by the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University, IDEA Think Thank by CERGE-EI, and the Virtual Research Collaboration on Gender and Family in the Labor Market (VRC).
Submissions
The deadline for submissions was February 1, 2019. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by February 28, 2019.
Venue
The workshop will take place in Prague, hosted by CERGE-EI at Politickych veznu 7, Prague, Czech Republic (map)
Fee
The fee for participation is 125 euro. This covers workshop materials, coffee breaks and lunches, and a workshop dinner on May 20. Thanks to our sponsors, we offer partial or full fee waivers to all presenting authors.
Individual travel and accommodation must be self-funded and self-arranged.
Workshop Program
The full program will be available in April 2019.
The scientific program will start around 9 am on May 20th, and end around 2pm on May 21st. The mentoring event is planned for May 21st, in the afternoon.
